LD 1968: Supplemental Budget: The Legislature passed the Supplemental Budget. It results in a net increase of General Fund Appropriations of $51.6 million in FY 06 and $45.2 million in FY 07. It appropriates and allocates $3.1 million in FY 06 and $7.8 million in FY 07 for Medicare Part D wrap-around services for enrollees to help maintain their prescription drug benefits at pre-Medicare Part D levels. It also appropriates $3.1 million in FY 06 and $16.1 million in FY 07 for the amount that the State’s Medicare Part D “clawback” payments to the Federal Government exceed the Medicaid savings the State will realize by having its Medicare/Medicaid dual eligibles enrolled in Medicare Part D.
